At Symmetry Financial Group, giving back is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference. On June 9, Symmetry Financial Group was a sponsor for Bounty & Soul's VegOut , an event that raised awareness and money for food insecurity.
Bounty & Soul is a non-profit organization less than a mile from Symmetry Financial Group's corporate office that is focused on creating healthier communities by providing nutritious food, education opportunities and resources. Symmetry Financial Group is proud to support and partner with organizations like Bounty & Soul throughout the year that are focused on bettering the lives of others.
"Symmetry Financial Group dedicated two Friday afternoons in May to Bounty & Soul so our staff could literally “be on the ground and in the dirt”, helping make a difference in our local community," said Whitney Zeh, Director of Community Relations. "We split our staff into two groups. One group went to the local Dr. John Wilson garden to harvest vegetables to serve at the local market. The second group sorted grains and vegetables at the Bounty & Soul office to then also serve at the market. Everyone came together at the local market to offer folks in our community a free and healthy alternative."
Each week, Bounty & Soul serves over 7,500 pounds of fresh, healthy food to individuals. We are honored to be part of the movement towards educating people about food malnutrition in our community.

I’ve lived in Black Mountain for most of my life, and I had no idea such a wonderful organization was doing so much for our local community,” shared a Symmetry Financial Group employee. “Helping people by starting with the foods they put in their bodies is such a simple and ingenious way to help them thrive, and I’m grateful to now support Bounty & Soul to help folks in my hometown!”
Bounty & Soul’s VegOut event was held at Pisgah Brewing Company, and featured live music, a silent auction, children’s activities, local food, and more. Learn about Bounty & Soul here .
